i'll just post 5 of the best newer games that i've played. i can't be bothered going back 20+ years and trying to figure everything out.

top 5 best newer games:

demon's souls
killzone 2 (mostly because of it's multiplayer)
left 4 dead parts 1 and 2 (strictly because of it's multiplayer)
call of duty 4: modern warfare/modern warfare 2
fallout 3
